The Rumble Fish 2 Confirmed for Western PlayStation, Xbox and Windows PC Release

Last month publisher 3goo announced plans to bring the arcade fighter The Rumble Fish to modern consoles, and today the publisher have confirmed that its sequel The Rumble Fish 2 will also be making it’s way to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC at some point in the future.

This remastered release of The Rumble Fish 2 will bring the original experience to modern consoles, but enhanced with rollback multiplayer netcode, 16:9 widescreen resolution support, a practice mode and a gallery mode that features art work and behind the scenes material for the game. President at 3goo, Nicolas Di Costanzo, also expressed his interest and reasoning for bringing the game to modern platforms.

The Rumble Fish 2 has been a popular game in Japanese arcades for many years, and tournaments are still occasionally organized by the community. Its longevity speaks to the great work that the developer Dimps’ has done with the game, thanks to their two decades of experience in fighting game design. The Dimps team created extended battle systems and offered players an infinite number of strategies, which is something the community absolutely loves. Here at 3goo, our mission was to expand on this popular title by bringing it to console platforms and introduce great features the game has to offer to console players, such as online PvP mode and a place to properly learn combos and greatly look forward to its release. We also hope that fans of the franchise will be excited about a few more surprise announcements we will have before the release, so stay tuned!

The Rumble Fish 2 is expected to be released digitally onto the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC during Winter 2022 with further release dates to be confirmed.
