Anime Limited to Bring ONE PIECE FILM RED to UK Cinemas this Autumn

In some rather unexpected, but awesome, news, Anime Limited have announced that they will be bringing ONE PIECE FILM RED, the latest feature-length-film in the ONE PIECE franchise, to UK and Ireland cinemas this Autumn.

Further details have not yet been mentioned, but a new website has been made which allows fans to register their interest for ticket availability as well as synopsis of the film.

Synopsis: Uta: the most beloved singer in the world. Renowned for concealing her own identity when performing, her voice has come to be described as “otherworldly.” Now, for the first time ever, Uta will reveal herself to the world at a live concert. As the venue fills with all kinds of Uta fans – excited pirates, the Navy watching closely, and the Straw Hats led by Luffy who simply came to enjoy her sonorous performance – the voice that the whole world has been waiting for is about to resound. The story begins with the shocking fact that she is Shanks’ daughter.

The announcement does come as a surprise as previously Crunchyroll, originally known as FUNimation UK and before that Manga Entertainment UK, had distributed the ONE PIECE films in the UK – with ONE PIECE STAMPEDE being given a cinematic treatment across the UK in 2019 – and they currently release ONE PIECE (TV ANIME) on DVD in the UK. Additionally the announcement was, much like Macross Plus, was made at Anime Expo in partnership with TOEI ANIMATION.

Regardless of the circumstances of its announcement it is a welcome announcement to fans who wish to see the film on the big screen.
