Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom Announced for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC Release

Bandai Namco Games have announced that Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom, a sequel to the 2020 game Doraemon Story of Seasons, will be released onto Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC in 2022.

Taking inspiration, and developing the concepts, from the popular Story of Seasons franchise this Doraemon spin-off game sees Nobita, Doraemon and friends transported to a new planet whereby they must maintain a healthy lifestyle by growing crops, building a farm and developing friendships with neighbors through various activities. As this is a Doraemon spin-off fans can also expect a variety of unique story elements as well as opportunities of using Doraemon’s gadgets to aid in their daily chores. While gameplay looks to be the same as the previous entry a new 2 player feature has been added.

It’s also worth noting that while Story of Season is in the title the original game was developed by Brownies (with insight from Marvelous Inc) and published by Bandai Namco Games worldwide. This sequel is once again being published by Bandai Namco Games worldwide and the developer is assumed to be Brownies. Ether way Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom is in development for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC with an expected 2022 release. Further details are available on the Japanese website.
