Pokemon The Movie: Secrets of the Jungle to be released on Blu-Ray in Germany with English Audio this Month

Poly Band Anime, a distributor of anime in Germany, will release the the feature-length-film Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle, known as Pokémon – Der Film: Geheimnisse des Dschungels in German, on Blu-Ray with English Audio on 29th April 2022.

The film, which is currently only available on Netflix in the west, sees Ash and Pikachu befriend Koko, a boy who grew up in the jungle alongside Pokemon, as they work together to help a mysterious new Pokemon who is in danger. While this is a German Blu-Ray release of the film it is REGION B, and compatible with all UK Players/Consoles, and features English audio; the same English audio that is available on Netflix – as shown on the back of the box art.

This isn’t the first time that Poly Band Anime have released a Pokemon film with English audio, as the distributor have been releasing Pokemon films in Germany for several years with (as far as we can tell) every release including English Audio. The distributor even released the previous Netflix only film, Pokemon The Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution on Blu-Ray, as well as all three seasons of Pokemon: The Series XY and the OVA Series Pokemon: Origins on Blu-Ray with English audio. Further details relating to Poly Band Anime can be found on the official website.

Those wishing to own (most of the) Pokemon films on Blu-Ray should look at these German releases by Poly Band Anime, but in the meantime the German Blu-Ray release of Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle will be available on 29th April 2022 with English and German audio options.
