Idea Factory to Release Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei on Nintendo Switch in 2022

Idea Factory International have recently announced that they will localise and release the otome visual novel Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei for the Nintendo Switch in 2022, with a limited edition also being planned.

Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei is currently planned for both physical and digital release in Summer 2022 in Europe and North America. A Limited Edition has also been confirmed, but details will be announced at a later date.

About Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei

Fifteen years after the Heiji Rebellion, the Heike clan has reached the height of its power, while the Genji clan remains devastated by defeat. Hidden deep within the mountains of Kurama lives Shanao, the youngest surviving male heir to the Genji name. However, Shanao harbors a deep secret known by very few.
The youngest heir to the Genji name is no man.

Torn between her duty to live up to the Genji family name and her desire to live a peaceful life, Shanao sets off in hopes to take down the Heike stronghold and finally bring peace in the country. Her adventure leads her to find new cherished relationships, as well as something deeper than the feud between the rivaling clans.

Alongside the games announcement Idea Factory International also confirmed the names of a selection of characters in the game, of which will most likely be routes within the visual novel, and these include Yoritomo, Benkei and Shungen from the Genji Clan as well as Tomomori and Noritsune from the Heike Clan.

Naturally details relating to Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei will be shared at a later date.
