UK Release of Sword Art Online Alicization: War of Underworld – Part 1 Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray Most Likely Delayed

Those expecting to receive the Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray release of Sword Art Online Alicization: War of Underworld – Part 1 this week may notice that their set has yet to be dispatched, ourselves included, and it seems the release has silently been delayed.

AllTheAnime, otherwise known as Anime Limited, have not provided an update on the delayed dispatch of internal store orders (of which should have arrived by 22nd November 2021) , nor have retailer listings been updated with any stock availability, so it all remains a mystery on what is happening with the product. Speculation of a delay did begin at the start of the month when AllTheAnime’s ‘new releases’ blog post lacked any mention of the product being released this month.

So, what’s happening? Honestly we have no idea – but given the lack of updates, both customer based and public, we can only assume the product has been delayed. It’s possible that as a result of the lead-up to Christmas, Shortage of HGV drivers in the UK/EU and BREXIT that unexpected delays have occurred resulting in stock arriving – and shipping – later than expected, but at the very least Sword Art Online Alicization: War of Underworld – Part 1 Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray was not released on 22nd November 2021 as originally planned.
