Sword Art Online: The Movie -Ordinal Scale- Added to FUNimation’s Streaming Platform

FUNimation have today confirmed that the feature-length Sword Art Online movie that acts as a bridge between the second and third seasons, and a stand-a-lone story, of the anime, known as Sword Art Online: The Movie -Ordinal Scale-, has today been added to the FUNimation Streaming platform.

Subscribers in United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand will be able to watch the film in both Dubbed and Subtitled formats. Previously Sword Art Online: The Movie -Ordinal Scale- was only available to stream on Netflix, of which is presented in subtitled format, so the addition of both voice-over options on the FUNimation platform is a welcome addition.

It’s also worth mentioning that Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night, a feature-length film that looks to retell the events of the Progressive light novel in anime film, has been licensed by FUNimation for cinematic distribution and tickets are expected to go on sale soon.
