Blue Reflection: Second Light Demo Arrives on PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop

Those interested in exploring a small portion of KOEI TECMO and GUST’s second installment into Blue Reflection, known as Blue Reflection: Second Light, will be excited to learn that a localised demo is now available to download from the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop.

Earlier in the year a demo of Blue Reflection Second Light was released onto the relevant storefronts in Japan, albeit in Japanese only, and so this localised release should offer the same gameplay content, but naturally in localised language. In this demo players will be able to experience both the ‘Prologue’ and ‘Story Demo’ elements, with Prologue offering the same content as the finished product and the Story demo being exclusive to this demo.

Players will be able to play through Ao’s journey from the beginning, as she first wakes up in this dreamlike world, while the Story Demo lets fans learn experience the gameplay basics such as crafting, exploration, and battle. As a bonus, players who completes the Prologue will obtain “Bunny – Head Accessory” and the Fragment “Preparing for the Unknown” as exclusive bonuses when updating to the latest full version of the game.

In addition to the playable demo KOEI TECMO also unveiled plans for post-launch content, with Photo Mode filters and Harder Difficulty modes planned after launch. The first post-launch update, which adds Photo Mode filters, will be available from 23rd November 2021 whereas the harder difficulty mode will be added shortly before Christmas. Additional details for these new additions can be found on the official Blue Reflection website.

Finally, Gust Studios announced a costume collaboration between Blue Reflection: Second Light and the upcoming Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream. For those who own both the “Summer Bikini” early purchase bonus for Blue Reflection: Second Light and the limited time bonus “Comfy and Casual” from Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream, the costumes will be unlocked to wear across each respective game.

Blue Reflection: Second Light will be released on the 9th November 2021 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Steam.
