FUNimation UK Announces Akudama Drive, Death Parade, Nichijou – My Ordinary Life, and More for UK Blu-Ray Release This December

FUNimation UK have today announced that they will release a selection of newly licensed titles including Akudama Drive, Death Parade, and Nichijou – My Ordinary Life in December, with some even being treated to Limited Edition releases, alongside complete series re-releases of older titles.

In this case anime fans can expect standard edition and Limited Edition Blu-Ray releases of Akudama Drive, Code Geass: Akito the Exiled, Death Parade, and Nichijou – My Ordinary Life, each of which will contain an art book and art card set, as well as complete series re-releases of Assassination Classroom, Fire Force and The Rising of Shield Hero.

December 2021 Release Schedule:

29th November 2021:

  • Assassination Classroom – The Complete Series (Blu-Ray)
  • One Piece – Collection 24 (DVD)

6th December 2021:

  • Akira (4K Blu-Ray)
  • Code Geass: Akito the Exiled – Complete OVA Collection (Blu-Ray, DVD)
  • Fire Force – Season 1 (Blu-Ray)
  • YuYu Hakusho – Season 3 (Blu-Ray)

13th December 2021:

  • Nichijou – My Ordinary Life (Blu-Ray, Limited Edition Blu-Ray)
  • Death Parade (Blu-ray, Limited Edition Blu-Ray, DVD)
  • Robotech – Part 2 (Blu-Ray)

20th December 2021:

  • The Rising of Shield Hero – Season 1 (Blu-Ray, DVD)

27th December 2021:

  • Akudama Drive – Complete Series (Blu-Ray)

As per usual the dates suggested above are tentative and are subject to change, but it does give a great indication of when to expect these titles in the UK. It’s also worth mentioning that some of these titles are ‘well overdue’ with Code Geass: Akito the Exiled originally being announced as a KAZE title many years ago.
