Scotland Loves Anime Mystery Film Unveiled as Mamoru Hosoda’s BELLE

The Scotland Loves Anime Twitter account has confirmed that the mystery film at this years event will be non-other than Mamoru Hosoda’s latest feature length film, BELLE, which also won the first-ever Locarno Kids Award.

About BELLE:
Suzu, a 17-year-old schoolgirl, lives with her father in a village surrounded by nature in Kochi prefecture after her mother died in an accident when she was a little girl. Suzu used to love singing with her mother more than anything else, but after her death, she has not been able to sing.

Tickets for the Scotland Loves Anime event, which takes place in October across Scotland, are now available through the official website with films such as The Deer King, Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution and Lupin: The First, being shown. Additional details for each of these films, including screening locations and times as part of the festival, can be found on the official Scotland Loves Animation website.
