SEGA have announced that Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles, which is a videogame adaptation of the popular manga and anime series Demon Slayer, will be released in Europe and North America the same week as Japan.
Developed by CyberConnect2, the development studio known for manga based titles such as Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm and Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is shown to be a 3D Arena fighter with 3D exploration elements that help progress the story and interconnect the battles.
The story within the game will also look to recreate the events of anime season and feature length film, but additions – such as character and costumes – from the manga will also be presented in some form. More importantly the game will also feature English and Japanese voice-over options with the voice cast from the anime returning to their roles for the game.
Scheduled for release on the 15th October 2021, which is just a day after the Japanese release, Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles will be available digitally on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One and Windows PC.
