Death End Re;Quest on Nintendo Switch to Include DLC and Original Japanese Content

Those looking forward to Idea Factory International’s Nintendo Switch release of Death End Re;Quest, which launches digitally on the 27th April 2021, will be excited to learn that it will contain all previously released downloadable content and the original content found in the Japanese PlayStation 4 version of the game.

Confirmation of these details can be found in the recently published Nintendo eShop listings, of which also list a £26.99 price tag. It’s expected that Idea Factory International chose to include “original Japanese content” as a way of saving it will be uncensored, though the original PlayStation 4 version, and in turn it’s Windows PC / Steam port, were not censored – unlike the sequel which had the Glitch outfits modified for the original characters.

Regardless it is exciting to know that, for the Nintendo Switch version at least, Idea Factory International will include all previously released downloadable content as part of the standard game. This means fans (and newcomers) will receive all of the bonus outfits and item perks alongside the additional playable character that were made available to purchase separately for the PlayStation 4 and Steam versions of the game.

Death End Re;Quest will be available digitally from the Nintendo eShop on the 27th April 2021 and will be priced at £26.99. A physical version will also be available in North America.
