Paranoia Agent UK Blu-Ray Release To Be Uncut

MVM Entertainment have recently confirmed on social media that the upcoming Blu-Ray release of Paranoia Agent will be uncut, thus making it the first time the series has been released in the UK in its original unedited format.

Originally when the series was released on DVD in the UK all those years ago scenes had to be removed in order to comply with the BBFC. This was, as explained on the BBFC website, due to “potential harm grounds to the sight of a child attempting to hang herself, and accompanying subtitles.” Ever since then all reprints of the DVD set in the UK have been the same cut version of the series, but for this upcoming Blu-Ray release MVM Entertainment reached out to the BBFC in hopes of having the Blu-Ray in its original uncut format.

That hope has become reality as MVM Entertainment have confirmed that UK Blu-Ray release of Paranoia Agent will be uncut. Based on previous tweets from the distributor it is also expected that the UK Blu-Ray release will also offer the same disc content as that released in North America by FUNimation.

Paranoia Agent is expected to be released n the 19th April 2021 within the UK via MVM Entertainment.
