The Promised Neverland, Sword Art Online: Alicization & Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online To Join Netflix UK in March

New listings in the “coming soon” section of the Netflix UK app have revealed that the first season of The Promised Neverland, the third season of Sword Art Online: Alicization and the complete series of Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online will be added to the subscription based streaming platform on 1st March 2021. Tiger & Bunny will also “hop” onto the service a day earlier on the 28th February 2021.

The trend of seeing Aniplex produced titles on Netflix UK continues as anime fans will soon be able to watch these shows as part of the subscription. It’s also worth noting that both seasons of Sword Art Online, as well as the feature-length-film Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale, are available to watch on the platform.

28th February 2021:

Tiger & Bunny: Sternbild City is home to people called Next, who use their special abilities to protect the people as superheroes. These heroes solve cases and save lives so they can wear sponsor logos or acquire hero points.Their activities are documented on the popular program Hero TV, which picks the King of Heroes in a yearly ranking. The veteran hero Wild Tiger has always preferred to work alone, but now he’s been assigned the rookie Barnaby Brooks Jr., who has a different perspective on being a superhero.

1st March 2021:

The Promised Neverland: As much as the children love her, she is not their mother. Although they live together, they are not related either. Grace Field House is where children without parents are taken in. An irreplaceable home for the 38 children that all live happily every day, even if they were strangers at first. However, the happy days at Grace Field House ended abruptly. In truth, their home is a farm, and the children are just human meat, food for the demons. Meanwhile, the Mum they love is a watchdog.

Sword Art Online: Alicization: Kirito Kazugaya spends his days in simple, childish bliss, playing with his friends Eugeo and Alice and revelling in the quiet harmony of the land known as Underworld. This peaceful life is shattered when playful exploration sees the trio arrive on the cusp of entering the so-called Dark Territory. When a brief slip sees Alice fall within this territory, the sentence meted out to her is a harsh one: execution.

This, however, is not a memory he will easily recall, provided as it is by a new and incredibly immersive Full-Dive technology which he has been hired to test, and which leaves him with no tangible recollection of his adventures. Little does Kirito know that he will soon be returning to Underworld in unexpected and dire circumstances, reuniting him with his good friend Eugeo and setting him down the path of a battle not just to save the missing Alice, but also himself.

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online: In the world of guns and steel that is Gun Gale Online, LLENN has been a devoted, female solo player. She is obsessed with two things: donning herself entirely in pink and honing her skills with consistent gameplay. She soon discovers her love for hunting other players (a.k.a. PK or Player Killing), and quickly becomes known as the Pink Devil. Meanwhile, LLENN meets a beautiful yet mysterious player, Pitohui, and the two click right away. Doing as she is told by Pitohui, she enters the Squad Jam group battle.

It’s not currently known whether the above series will be available in both dubbed and subtitled formats, but considering Demon Slayer, which was also an Anime Limited release in the UK, had both audio options available then it is assumed that both dubbed and subtitled formats will be made available.

The Promised Neverland, Sword Art Online: Alicization and Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online are available on Blu-Ray via Anime Limited in the UK. Tiger & Bunny meanwhile was previously released on DVD and Blu-Ray in the UK via KAZE Entertainment and Manga Entertainment but has long since gone out of print.
