The King of Fighters XV and The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match Announced

Earlier in the week SNK announced plans to re-release The King of Fighters XV onto the PlayStation 4 as an ‘Ultimate Edition’ release with previously released DLC and today the developer-come-publisher are back at it with an announcement for the latest entry in the franchise The King of Fighters XV, as well as news on a PlayStation 4 release of The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match.

Firstly it was announced that The King of Fighters XV will be the next mainline instalment into the SNK Fighting Game franchise and will see vast improvements compared to its previous game. No details were mentioned on which platforms this title would be released on, but it does have a hint of ‘next-gen’ with the trailer being presented in 4K.

Although it has not received a stand-a-lone trailer, but is shown as part of the SNK Video Presentation, the team also announced plans to release a PlayStation 4 version of The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match This Sprite based fighter has been redeveloped and improved, both in visual and fighting styles, and will also include an fully functionally online multiplayer mode.

Further details surrounding both titles will be announced in due time.
