YenPress Announces Sword Art Online Platinum Collector’s Edition for December Release

Reki Kawahara’s Sword Art Online continues to be a popular franchise with the light novel being adapted into various forms of media including manga, anime and games; but today American based book publisher have announced plans to release a “Platinum Collector’s Edition” release of the light novel.

This Platinum Collector’s Edition, of which will be a limited print run, will contain twenty Sword Art Online light novels with exclusive prints and poster featuring gorgeous art by abec. The set will be priced at $200, which equates to around £160, and is currently available to pre-order directly from the YenPress website. (for US customers only).

Although YenPress formally announced this edition as a US item they do have plans to make this set available across Europe and it will be distributed by Diamond Book Distributors. Specifics on pricing and availability have not yet been confirmed, but in the meantime standard Sword Art Online light novel books are available through all the usual retail outlets.
