Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- The Prophecy of the Throne Dated alongside Game Features & English Dub Details

SPIKE CHUNSOFT have recently announced that Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- The Prophecy of the Throne, a stand-a-lone visual novel game inspired by the events of the main story within the Re:ZERO light novel, will be available on the 5th February 2021 for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 within Europe with the North American version being released a few days earlier.

In addition to the release date announcement SPIKE CHUNSOFT also unveiled additional details for the game alongside confirmation that the English Dub cast from the anime will be reprising their roles for characters within this game. The English Dub track will be made available as a Day One Patch on the games launch day.

Details on how the game will be played, and presented, can be found below:

Game System:
A tactical adventure utilizing Subaru’s “Return by Death” ability, a key element much like in the original works.

Adventure Part:
Progress through the story mainly through conversations.
The smooth character animations and fully voiced dialogue brings the story to life.

Movement Part
Take control of Subaru to speak with characters, check out points on the map, and gather items and information. Obtaining useful items and intel is key to completing missions successfully.

Devise plans with allies to decide how to proceed through upcoming missions. Subaru can propose opinions based on any items and information that have been gathered to affect the actions of his allies.

Take action to resolve conflicts standing in the way of Subaru and his friends. Players can only control Subaru, and his allies move independently based on the decisions made during Briefings.

Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- The Prophecy of the Throne will be available digitally and physically for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on the 5th February 2021. A Collector’s Edition is also available from selected retailers.
