Riot Games UK Launches Spirit Blossom Manga Art Contest within League of Legends

It is time for something completely different, as the folks at Riot Games UK have recently launched a Spirit Blossom themed Manga Art Contest in League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra and Teamfight Tactics – Riot’s first cross-title event – which will see a variety of in-game items awarded to successful entrants.

As explained to us in the press release the competition will run from 3rd August 2020 to 17th August 2020 (11:59PM BST), with the winners announced on 24th August 2020 at 6pm BST. Completed artwork should be shared via Twitter, using @UK_LoL and #SpiritBlossomManga whereby 10 winners will be chosen to receive a selection of Spirit Blossom 2020 in-game prizes in League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics. In addition entrants could win some Spirit Blossom merchandise, which contains a limited edition Spirit Blossom ramen bowl kit, haori and pins, as well as have their artwork featured on @UK_LoL.

The First prize also includes a unique opportunity to speak to one of Riot Games’ Lead Concept Artist, Gem Lim, who led the concept art on the Spirit Blossom skins, one-on-one. For fans of League of Legends, and artists looking to express their creative talent, then it is an interesting competition and might be worth taking a closer look.
