Weathering With You Deluxe Edition Variant Announced for Zavvi and AllTheAnime Shop

Anime Limited have revealed plans that a ‘variant’ version of the Weathering With You Deluxe Edition, which included the film on 4K Blu-Ray in a Collector’s packaging, will also be released on the 2nd November 2020 and that pre-orders for this ‘variant’ will begin at Zavvi and on the AllTheAnime Shop from the 31st July 2020.

Unlike the regular edition of the Weathering With You Deluxe Edition, of which was exclusive to Zavvi, Limited to 1000 units and sold out within 24 hours, this variant will not contain the films soundtrack CD. All other aspects of this ‘variant’ edition will remain the same; including the 4K Blu-Ray, Steel Book packaging and Collector’s Box.

Although this Deluxe Edition does not come with the soundtrack it does mean that does who want to own the film on 4K Blu-Ray, and missed out on the original set, will be able to do so. Anime Limited have also expressed that, at the time of writing, they can only produce the 4K edition of the film in this ‘Deluxe Edition’ set so it is unlikely we will see a standard 4K Blu-Ray release of the film anytime soon.
