Manga UK Announces Fairy Tail Zero, Fairy Tail: Final Season for UK Release and Confirmation on Fairy Tail Collection Sets

The UK home video release of Fairy Tail has so far, to be blunt, been terrible. It started with Manga Entertainment UK first releasing several volumes on DVD, before upgrading to Blu-Ray in both Part and Collection sets, and then going back to poorly encoded PAL DVD only releases before losing the distribution license to Anime Limited, who then continued to release the series in DVD only format in partnership with FUNimation.

Now, several years after its debut, Manga Entertainment UK are back and have confirmed that they will not only release the entire series on Blu-Ray in Collection sets but will also release Fairy Tail Zero, which is the origin story of Fairy Tail’s first guild master, and Fairy Tail: Final Season, which is the final season of the anime series, on both Blu-Ray and DVD.

The return of Fairy Tail started earlier this month when Manga Entertainment UK released Fairy Tail – Collection 3 on Blu-Ray, a set that combined the individual Part 5 and 6 releases into a bumper collection. It was also announced earlier in the year that Collection 4, which would contain Parts 7 and 8, and Collection 5, which would contain Parts 9 and 10, would also be released in August and now Manga Entertainment UK have confirmed that Fairy Tail – Collection 6, Collection 7, Collection 8 and Collection 9, which contain episodes from the individual Parts 11 – 18 (Episodes 121 to 212) releases, as Blu-Ray and DVD releases during the remainder of this year.

As a result the release calendar, for Fairy Tail related titles, currently looks like this

24th August 2020:

5th October 2020:

• Fairy Tail ZERO (Episodes 266 – 277) [DVD, Blu-Ray, Digital]

26th October 2020:

• Fairy Tail – Collection 7 (Episodes 143 – 164) [DVD, Blu-Ray, Digital]

9th November 2020:

• Fairy Tail: The Final Season – Part 23 (Episodes 278- 290) [DVD, Blu-Ray, Digital]

30th November 2020:

• Fairy Tail – Collection 8 (Episodes 165 – 187) [DVD, Blu-Ray, Digital]

14th December 2020:

• Fairy Tail: The Final Season – Part 24 (Episodes 291 – 303) [DVD, Blu-Ray, Digital]
