FUNimation NOW Adds K-ON! & Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions on 31st July 2020 for UK Streaming

Following on from a (not so) cryptic teaser on social media last week FUNimation UK have today officially announced that Kyoto Animation’s anime adaptations of K-ON! and Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions will be added to the video-on-demand streaming service FUNimation NOW on the 31st July 2020 for UK viewers.

As part of this announcement subscribers will find both seasons of each series, which is K-ON! (Season 1) and K-ON!! (Season 2) as well as Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions (Season 1) and Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions Heart Throb (Season 2), as well as the relevant movies for each franchise. In short; the complete anime franchise for both series will be available to stream on the platform starting 31st July 2020. Language options were not mentioned but both titles have been dubbed into English; but at the very least they will be viewable in Japanese with English subtitles.

Join four high school girls, on a mission to save their school’s music club. Arriving for her first year in high school, Yui Hirasawa (Aki Toyosaki) is eager to find a club to join.

Meanwhile, drummer Ritsu Tainaka (Satomi Sato), her friend, bassist Mio Akiyama (Yoko Hikasa), and keyboard player Tsumugi Kotobuki (Minako Kotobuki) are trying to save the school’s music club, which is set to close due to low numbers.

After Yui joins the band playing castanets, the other members soon begin to realise they’ve accidentally discovered a guitar hero.

Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions:

Yuta has a problem. As one of the thousands of Japanese students afflicted with “chunibyo,” a state where they’re so desperate to stand out that they’ve literally convinced themselves that they have secret knowledge and hidden powers, Yuta spent most of his middle school years living in a complete fantasy world.

But that’s not his major problem now, as with a lot of work and effort, he’s finally managing to overcome his delusions to the point where he thinks he’s ready to start high school with all his cards in order. No, his BIG problem is the girl he first encounters climbing on his balcony.

It seems that his own efforts to rid himself of his chunibyo have attracted the attention of another sufferer, and she’s decided that this makes him her soul mate.

K-ON! and Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions will be available to stream on FUNimation NOW for subscribers from the 31st July 2020. K-ON! was previously released on DVD in the UK by Manga Entertainment while Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions was released on Blu-Ray and DVD in the UK by Animtatsu / Manga Entertainment UK.
