With the impact of COVID-19 continuing to cause a disruption across the world, including the cancellation of various events, a newly formed digital only event, known as New Game+ Expo, has been announced; with the event providing a way for western publishers of Japanese games to speak up about their upcoming projects.
“New Game+ Expo is a grassroots coalition of publishers and developers,” said Adam Johnson, producer of NGPX. “Organizing together for the first time, we hope fans have fun as we take a look at the combined upcoming lineup of games for 2020 and beyond!”
The event seemingly is catered towards the North American market; however news of products demonstrated at this event would seemingly be released across Europe by the same publisher (i.e. Idea Factory International, NIS America and KOEI TEMCO). Regardless it is exciting times. Specific details of the event have not yet been announced; but a confirmed list of publishers has been revealed.
List of publishers taking part:
- Acttil
- Aksys Games
- Arc System Works America
- GungHo Online Entertainment America / Grasshopper Manufacture
- Idea Factory International
- Inti Creates
- Koei Tecmo America
