Cloud Matsuri Online UK Anime Convention Announced for this Month

Anime Limited, in partnership with Crunchyroll, Manga Entertainment UK, KOEI TECMO Europe and Atsuko, have today announced plans to host a digital comic-con styled event, known as Cloud Matsuri, later this month with the event aimed at replicating the experience of attending a traditional Comic Con, such as MCM Comic Con or Anime Expo.

This Cloud Matsuri event, which takes place on the 30th and 31st May 2020, will be broadcast (streamed) each day on YouTube from 2pm BST – 10pm BST and will see all sorts of activities ranging from Interviews, discussions, announcements and even some game demonstrations. Exact scheduling details are ‘in the works’ but the current line-up is as follows:

Saturday 30th May 2020:

• 5pm – STUDIO Orange Panel with Eiji Inomoto (Founder) & Kiyotaka Waki (Producer)
• 6pm – BEASTARS Panel with Shinichi Matsumi (Beastars Director) & Hyuntae Kim (Producer, Studio Orange)
• 7pm – Eunyoung Choi (Science Saru Interview)

Sunday 31st May 2020:

• 3pm – Andrew (Anime Limited) & Jerome (MangaUK) Fireside Talk
• 6pm – Shuzo Shiota (Polygon Pictures Interview)
• 9pm – Yasuhiro Kamimura (Groundworks Interview)

TBC:

• FAIRY TAIL Game Demonstration
• One Piece Voice Actor Q&A

In addition to the Cloud Matsuri event Manga Entertainment UK will also be hosting a fundraiser for NHS Charities Together. Those who take part will not only be donating to a good cause but will also stand the chance of winning some ‘extremely’ exciting prizes. As this digital only streaming event has just been announced further details will be revealed in due time; but those wishing to experience the thrills of an Anime Convention (such as MCM Comic Con) will be able to do so later this month and, more importantly, it is completely FREE to take part.
