Third time is the charm for Anime Limited, otherwise known as All The Anime, as the UK anime distributor-come-publisher have today announced plans to re-release Fullmetal Alchemist on Blu-Ray.
Previously Anime Limited had released Fullmetal Alchemist as an ‘Ultimate Edition’ Blu-Ray set, of which saw the entirety of the series packed inside a replica of the gate. Shortly after this highly impressive, but expensive, set the series was released as two half-season-sets with each packaged in Anime Limited’s traditional Collector’s Edition style packaging. These Collector’s Edition were the same as those included in the Ultimate Edition; but included sleeves over the artbox in order to comply with BBFC rules.
It has been many years since then and now Anime Limited will release the series as Standard Edition styled Collector’s Editions with each set being presented in a similar style to their Mobile Suit Gundam releases.
In this case the series will be presented in standard amaray cases with Part 1 containing an art box to hold both parts and Part 2 containing an art book featuring artwork that was previously included in the Collector’s Edition sets. The disc content will be exactly the same as the previous releases and will feature both English and Japanese audio options with English subtitles.
Part 1 – 15th June 2020 [SRP £59.99]:
Part 2 – 20th July 2020 [SRP £59.99]:
Fullmetal Alchemist Ultimate Edition, and the half-series Collector’s Edition releases, have long since been out of print – and a standard edition re-release is well overdue – and these Standard, but Collector’s Edition styled, releases of Fullmetal Alchemist will be available from the 15th June 2020 (Part 1) and 20th July 2020 (Part 2) with each having an SRP of £59.99. Further information about each of these products can be found on the official Anime Limited website.
