Anime Limited to Release Love Live! Sunshine!! Season 2 as Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray Next Month

Anime Limited have recently announced that the second season to Love Live! Sunshine!! will be released on the 18th May 2020 as a Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray release, as well as a Standard Edition DVD; with both editions now available to pre-order from the Anime Limited website.

Synopsis: In spite of their previous setbacks, the members of Aqours are working harder than ever to save Uranohoshi Girls’ High School from being shut down as the second term begins.

With another Love Live event already on the way, their ultimate goal of winning the contest and saving their school is in clear sight… but is there enough time to achieve their dreams before the clock runs down and the school is closed? With all manner of new hardships facing them, the Aqours girl’s friendships and dedication will be tested to the limit while they endeavour to awaken the power of their collective talent, and hope to shine as they seek to cement their place in Love Live history.

As with preivous Collector’s Edition releases, and in turn the first season of Love Live! Sunshine!, this Season 2 release will feature two blu-ray discs packaged in a digi-pack design that slides into a rigid art box. The discs themselves will feature all thirteen episodes of the series presented in English & Japanese audio (with English subtitles) as well as a few bonus features such as texltess songs and trailers.

In addition to the packaging and presentation this Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray release will also contain 9 art cards, with each featuring a different artwork design, and a poster featuring the same artwork that is used on the artwork.

Love Live! Sunshine!! – Season 2 will be available on the 18th May 2020 as a Collector’ Edition Blu-Ray and Standard Edition DVD release. Although details have not been shared it is expected that a standard edition Blu-Ray release of the series will be released at a later date; although we probably will not see this until this Collector’s Edition has gone out of print (just like what happened with the first season).
