Bandai Namco Entertainment have today announced that SHONEN JUMP’s cross-over fighting game JUMP FORCE will soon be “jumping” to the Nintendo Switch platform as a ‘Deluxe Edition’ release worldwide; with this Nintendo Switch port containing all previously released downloadable content characters (i.e. Character Pass 1) as part of the base game. JUMP FORCE originally released onto the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and STEAM back in 2018 and saw popular Shonen Jump characters ‘brought to life’ in the real world for a fight a threat that was combining the real world with that of the manga world. It was an interesting title, with its RPG styled mechanics and brawler styled combat; and now this experience will be heading to the Nintendo Switch as a ‘Deluxe Edition’. As mentioned all content previously released for JUMP FORCE will be included in this Nintendo Switch release; but its not currently known what type of release it will receive in the west.
In addition to the announcement of JUMP FORCE Deluxe Edition Bandai Namco Entertainment also revealed plans for second season of downloadable content, of which will add six additional fighters from franchises such as Bleach, My Hero Academia and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure to the mix. The first piece of content in Character Pass 2 will drop in the coming months and will be released for all platforms; including the Nintendo Switch variation of the game.
JUMP FORCE is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC (via Steam), with the Xbox One version also being part of Xbox Game Pass. The Nintendo Switch version of JUMP FORCE, known as JUMP FORCE DELUXE EDITION, will be released later in the year with future details to be announced.
