FAIRY TAIL adds Ultear, Lyon, Flare and Minerva as ‘Guest Characters’ and GUILD BOX Edition Announced

KOEI TECMO and GUST Studio’s videogame incarnation of the FAIRY TAIL manga and anime series continues to expand as the publisher and developer have today announced that “Guest Characters” from the FAIRY TAIL franchise will assist players at key points in the games story; starting with character team-ups from the Grand Magic Games and Eclipse Celestial Spirits Arc of the Story.

In this case Ultear Milkovich, from the Crime Sorcière guild, Lyon Vastia from the Lamia Scale guild, Flare Corona from the Raven Tail guild and finally Minerva Orland from the Sabertooth guild, will be assist in battle during moments within the series. Sadly these four additional characters will not be playable within the game, but they will be presentable on screen and join in casting combination magic that will recreate various moments from the anime and manga.

In addition to this news KOEI TECMO Europe have also announced the Limited Edition variation of FAIRY TAIL; known as the “Guild Box Edition’. This Edition of the game will contain a physical copy of FAIRY TAIL, for either the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, and a whole host of collectable releated content including a B2 sized cloth poster featuring new artwork from series creator Hiro Mashima.

This ‘GUILD BOX Edition’ of FAIRY TAIL will be exclusive to the KOEI TECMO Europe online store and is priced at £99.99. Pre-Orders have not yet begun but the official product page can be found here.

FAIRY TAIL is expected to be released digitally and physically on the 25th June 2020 for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 as well as digitally on Steam on the same day. A Digital Deluxe Edition of the game will also be made available through relevant digital storefronts.
