Manga Entertainment UK Announces Q3 2020 Release Schedule with Highlights Including Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, New Game & Fairy Gone

Although COVID-19 is having an effect on new releases being physically released into the UK market, of which additional release dates have been made, it doesn’t stop Manga Entertainment UK from announcing a slew of new titles as today the distributor-come-publisher have announced their Q3 2020 release schedule and it includes a wide-variety of requested titles as well as some newcomers.

In this case UK anime fans will finally be able to enjoy titles such as Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid and New Game!, two highly requested releases that have long since been made available in both North America (via FUNimation) and Australia (via Madman Entertainment), as well as relatively new releases such as Astra Lost In Space, Bungo Stray Dogs, Fairy Gone, Highschool DxD HERO, How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? and ID INVADED. What’s even more surprising about this Q3 2020 release line-up is the inclusion of previously released FUNimation titles such as Prison School and Highschool DxD BoRN; both of which were previously released by Anime Limited as part of their FUNimation related releases.

A full breakdown of what has been announced for UK release can be found below:

Astra Lost in Space: In the year 2063, eight high school students and a kid are flown out to Planet Camp, tasked with surviving on their own for a few days. But shortly after arriving, an ominous glowing orb warps them to an unknown quadrant of space, nearly 5,012 light years away. Now, the only way back home is a slow, dangerous trek across the universe—a journey that’ll test them in ways Planet Camp never could.

Bungo Stray Dogs: Atsushi Nakajima has no idea that a beastly white tiger lives inside him—a power that interests the eccentric members of a crimefighting agency. Together with this motley crew, he’ll claw through mafia-muddled mysteries, and face a gifted group of Americans who threaten his city!

Cop Craft: Former JSDF soldier Kei Matoba is one of the best cops that the department has to offer, despite his inclination to occasionally bend the rules. After a fairy trafficking case goes wrong, Kei loses Rick Fury, his friend and partner of four years, setting him on a quest for vengeance. To help him with the case, the department pairs him with Tilarna Exedilika, a noble of the Farbani Kingdom. As one of the Knights of Mirvor, her duty is to rescue the noble fairy that Kei encountered during his last case. Despite his distaste for non-humans, he accepts the arrangement at the request of his superiors. Now, the unlikely duo must come together and overcome their differences in order to return the missing fairy to her country and avenge the death of Kei’s partner.

Fairy Gone: From the director of Drifters, and the creator behind Grimgar, Ashes and Illusions, comes a war-torn world on the brink of calamity. Able to summon fairies as alter-ego weapons, former soldiers become government dogs, mafia members, and even terrorists in search of purpose beyond the battlefield. Who will maintain the peace they all fought for nine years ago?

HighSchool DxD: Issei is suddenly attacked in Kyoto by a mysterious fox yokai—whose mother is missing—and it looks like the Chaos Brigade is behind it! Only the Grabbing Dragon and his voluptuous vixens are prepared to face them and get the fox yokai’s mother back.

How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?: During a regular after-school grub crawl, gluttonous high schooler Hibiki Sakura is confronted about her ever-expanding waistline by her best friend, Ayaka Uehara. With her attempts at solitary exercise failing miserably, Hibiki decides to join the newly opened Silverman Gym. At her orientation, Hibiki runs into student council president and school idol Akemi Souryuuin.

ID INVADED: Welcome to Kura, an organization that investigates crime using the Mizuhanome system which senses the drive to kill. Sakaido is a brilliant detective and pilot of the Mizuhanome. To solve a case, he enters the world of the killer’s unconscious mind: the id well. In the shadows of brutal and puzzling cases lurks John Walker, the Serial Killer Creator. Where will Sakaido’s pursuit lead?

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion: In the city of Orario, beneath an impossibly tall tower, lies the dungeon. Only adventurers who form partnerships with the gods themselves have any hope of defeating the monsters that lie within. But the dungeon is not the only place where monsters exist. Far from Orario, in the ruins of an ancient city, a new threat arises. To counter this threat, the goddess Artemis has come to Orario in search of a champion—but it’s not Ais Wallenstein (the legendary Sword Princess) nor Ottar (the strongest warrior to ever enter the dungeon) that she chooses. Rather it is Bell Cranel, a newbie adventurer partnered with a low-tier goddess.

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: What happens when a drunken promise leads to living with a dragon? That’s Miss Kobayashi’s new reality when Tohru, her new maid-slash-dragon appears in her life! And if one wasn’t enough, in comes Kanna, a little dragon with a big attitude. Soon, Kobayashi has a house full of adorable dragons – one serving tail and the other serving serious moe.

New Game: 18-year-old Aoba Suzukaze just landed her dream job at a video game company, but the real world of office culture is challenging for this total noob. From her awkward first day, to her first game’s debut—and even training the next new recruit—she’s got a lot of skills to level up. But with a little help from her coworkers, she can handle any raid boss in her way.

Prison School: When the prestigious all-girls Hachimitsu Private Academy becomes co-ed, five young men are the first males to attend. But the girls aren’t so accepting of their new classmates. Despite their best attempts, Kiyoshi and his friends are met with cold shoulders from the girls. So what better way to deal with rejection than a little bit of peeping? When they chance a peak at the girls during bath time, their plan falls apart and they are caught by the Underground Student Council. Unwilling to hear any excuses, the USC enforces an absurd punishment imprisonment! For a month, the boys must live within the school’s very own penal system while enduring long, hard, and grueling tasks.
