It is the news many Falcom fans have been waiting for as publisher NIS America have announced that they will be releasing a localised version of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV on to the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Windows PC (via Steam) within the next two years.
In a surprising turn of events the publisher will release The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV onto the PlayStation 4 in 2020, with pre-orders slowly opening up on the European and North American NIS Online Stores for standard and collector’s edition releases of the game, with Nintendo Switch and Windows PC versions due later in 2021. This is a similiar release pattern to how NIS America released The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III except this time the publisher have been upfront on when they expect each platform to be released.
Synopsis: The heroes of Class VII find themselves against the full force of the Empire in an attempt to stop its path of total domination. Further, the hero of the Erebonian Civil War and Class VII’s instructor, Rean Schwarzer, has gone missing. Now, the students of Class VII, old and new, must unite with heroes from all over the continent to create the only chance the world has to be spared from total destruction.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV will be localised into English and is expected to be released onto the PlayStation 4 in 2020 with Nintendo Switch and Windows PC versions coming in 2021. Additional release details will be shared through the relevant NIS America channels for each region.
