Bandai UK, and the organisers of the Dragon Ball Super pop-up events, have announced on social media that the events due to take place in Essex and Bristol have now been postponed until further notice with Bandai UK having plans to re-schedule the events until later in the year.
IMPORTANT: The #DragonBall events planned in Essex on the 21st/22nd March and Bristol 28th/29th March have been postponed until further notice. We are working on re-scheduling the pop-ups for later in the year subject to conditions. Thank you all so much for your support
Although context to this postponement was not given it is safe to assume that the pop-up events have been postponed by Bandai UK due to the increase risk of Coronavirus (CVOID-19) in the UK as well as the UK governments advice on social interaction being kept to a minimum. The Dragon Ball Super pop-up event postponement is not the only event to be delayed, as many other events in the UK – including small scale anime conventions – have been delayed to a later time in the UK.
It is the right decision to make, as it ensures safety for all staff and visitors; but it does mean those excited to go to these events will have to make arrangements in the future. In the meantime Dragon Ball Super is continuing to be broadcast on POP!, with the series now reaching the Tournament of Power arc, while the Dragon Ball Super toys are available at most retailers across the UK.
