Dragon Ball Super Pop-Up Events Appear at Shopping Centres Across the UK


Bandai UK, in partnership with PlayTime PR, Bandai Namco Entertainment and TOEI Animation, have announced that during the month of March a selection of Dragon Ball Super themed pop-up experience events will take place at Shopping Centres across the UK.

The aim of these events is to celebrate the popularity of the Dragon Ball franchise within the UK as well as promote recently released products Dragon Ball Super products, such as the new range of Dragon Ball Super figures, Dragon Ball Z Kakarot and Dragon Ball FighterZ games, and the return of Dragon Ball Super on POP!. Attendees to these pop-up events will also be able to take part in various activities, such as wheel of fortune and photos with Goku, while learning more about the wold of Dragon Ball Super.

Fans can enter a giant and immersive Dragon Ball zone to experience the world of Goku, Vegeta, Gohan and more. Step into the wind machine and catch as many Dragon Balls as you can before the time runs out. Play the hit video game on one of the Playstation stands or experience Dragon Ball ‘Wheel of Fortune’! Pose in the Dragon Ball photobooth and capture a memory of your time in the zone.

All this plus the potential of gifts and giveaways over the course of the weekend for those visiting the zone – everyone will leave with Dragon Ball goodies.

Given this is the first time ever that Dragon Ball-licensed toys have been available in the UK for the kids’ and toy market, the range is expected to be hugely popular amongst nostalgic collectors and those new to the brand.

The Dragon Ball Super UK Pop-Up Tour began earlier this month in Liverpool but a list of confirmed locations can be found below; with each location open from 9am to 5:30pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

  • 14th & 15th March 2020: Manchester, Elk Mill Retail Park
  • 21st & 22nd March 2020: Essex/London, Lakeside Retail Park
  • 28th & 29th March 2020: Bristol, Cribbs Causeway Retail Park

Whether you are a newcomer to the Dragon Ball franchise or a long-time fan then it is definitively worth checking out one of these events as it will certainly be something special; especially for a Japanese related IP.

In the meantime Dragon Ball Super is currently being broadcast weekdays at 7pm on POP! with the uncut anime series available on Blu-Ray and DVD via Manga Entertainment UK. The Dragon Ball Z figures meanwhile are available at all good retailers across the UK from Bandai UK while the games are available physically and digitally for various platforms within Europe by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
