Weathering With You Scheduled for September 2020 UK Blu-Ray and DVD Release

Anime Limited have announced that Makoto Shinkai’s feature-length-film Weathering With You, which has been receiving continued support in cinemas across the UK, is planned for a September release on DVD, Blu-Ray and Collector’s Edition Combo Pack with listings now available on Amazon UK.

Specifically the home video release of Weathering With You is planned for a 28th September 2020 release with all three variations of the film being released at the same time.

Synopsis: The summer of his high school freshman year, Hodaka runs away from his remote island home to Tokyo, and quickly finds himself pushed to his financial and personal limits. The weather is unusually gloomy and rainy every day, as if to suggest his future. He lives his days in isolation, but finally finds work as a writer for a mysterious occult magazine.

Then one day, Hodaka meets Hina on a busy street corner. This bright and strong-willed girl possesses a strange and wonderful ability: the power to stop the rain and clear the sky.

Specific details for each release will be confirmed at a later date; but each format will contain the film in English and Japanese with subtitles. We suspect that the Blu-Ray release(s) will also contain bonus features such as trailers. Regardless the home video release of Weathering With You is scheduled for a 28th September 2020 release within the UK and is now available to pre-order on DVD, Blu-Ray and Collector’s Edition Combo Pack at Amazon UK.
