POP! To Broadcast New Episodes of Dragon Ball Super this March

The Sony owned TV channel, POP!, have announced through a new television advert that brand new episodes of Dragon Ball Super will be shown on the channel starting from 2nd March 2020.

Dragon Ball Super originally began its UK TV broadcast on Monday 1st July 2019 and continued to run every week day with new episodes until it reached towards the end of the Goku Black Arc; afterwards the show received a consistent rerun each weekday until it was replaced with another series earlier this year. Now, from Monday 2nd March 2020, Dragon Ball Super will return with a brand new selection of episodes and continuing right from where the original broadcast run ended – with Trunks, Vegeta and Goku attempting to defeat Goku Black.

It’s not known how many episodes will be shown as part of this extended run of the series but the television advert suggests that episodes until at least Episode 70 will be shown. It’s worth noting that the original television advert only showed highlights from the first thirteen episodes of the series; so its possible that this TV broadcast could go up to the tournament of power arc; but we will eventually find out.

It’s worth noting that the TV Broadcast of Dragon Ball Super is different to the Uncut Blu-Ray and DVDs released by Manga Entertainment in UK. Although it uses the same English dub cast the dialogue was changed, or re-worded, to make it more suitable for television broadcast. You can view a comparison between the TV and UNCUT Broadcasts here.

Dragon Ball Super will return to POP! on 24th February 2020, most likely to recap the events of the Goku Black Arc, before broadcasting brand new episodes from 2nd March 2020. It’s expected that episodes will be broadcast at 7pm as per the original time slot. POP! is available on Freeview 206, Sky 616, Freesat 606 and Virgin Media 736.
