FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE Delayed Until April 2020


Square Enix have surprised fans eager for the release of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE by announcing that the game will be pushed back from its original planned release date of 3rd March 2020 to 10th April 2020 in order to allow extra polish to the game in order to deliver the experience that fans would expect from both the game.

The announcement of the games delay was issued via a statement issued by Yoshinori Kitase, the producer of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE, of which can be found below:

We know that so many of you are looking forward to the release of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE and have been waiting patiently to experience what we have been working on. In order to ensure we deliver a game that is in-line with our vision, ad the quality that our fans who have been waiting for deserve, we have decided to move the release date to April 10, 2020.

We are making this tough decision in order to give ourselves a few extra weeks to apply final polish to the game and to deliver you with the best possible experience. I, on behalf of the whole team, want to apologize to everyone, as i know this means waiting for the game just a little big longer.

In short FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE has been pushed back by around five weeks and will now be released on the 10th April 2020 for the PlayStation 4 as both a physical and digital release with special editions also available via various retailers. A playable demo of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE is also rumoured but has yet to be announced.
