The subscription based video-on-demand platform Netflix once again caters towards anime fans as the streaming giant have recently added a large selection of new, and familiar, anime series; with highlights including re-additions of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, and Tenkai Knights as well as the addition of Levius, Sonic X and the second season of Knights of Sidonia.
A full list of titles, along with a synopsis for each series, can be found below:
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion: A high-schooler who’s granted powers to make anyone instantly obedient dons a mask to lead Japan’s rebellion against a long-invading Britannia.
Knights of Sidonia (Season 1 & 2): A hero rises to save a world that’s also a spaceship under siege by an alien threat in this original anime series based on the popular manga comic.
Levius: Young Levius rises through the ranks in the brutal world of metal boxing under his uncle’s guidance. Forces outside the ring have their eye on him.
Sonic X (Seasons 1 – 4): While battling the evil Dr. Eggman, Sonic gets caught in an explosion that sends him, his pals and his enemy to the unfamiliar planet Earth. With the help of a young boy, Sonic sets out to find the powerful Chaos Emeralds and defeat Dr. Eggman.
Tenkai Knights: In the year 2034, four teenagers from Earth are anointed Tenkai Knights, brave warriors chosen to guard the planet Quarton from the evil Lord Vilius.
In relation to Sonic X, which consists of four seasons, they are separated into the boxsets that were originally released by 4KIDS Entertainment in the US – such as New World Saga (Episodes 1 – 13), Chaos Emerald Saga (Episodes 13 – 26) etc. Disappointingly the addition of Sonic X does not include the Cosmo episodes which see Sonic and the gang travel in space.
As per usual a valid Netflix subscription is required in order to view the content but all available content is now available to Stream on Netflix UK.
