In a rather unsurprising announcement Bandai Namco Entertainment have confirmed that the upcoming Action-RPG-Fighting-Game Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will feature Dragon Balls within the game and, if collected, would allow players to summon Shenron.
It wouldn’t be a Dragon Ball game without having the Dragon Balls in some form, for example in Dragon Ball FighterZ players could summon Shenron after doing large combos or specials while in Dragon Ball Xenoverse the mysterious orbs could be collected and used to obtain new characters, such as Super Saiyan 4 Goku. Regardless in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot they will feature and grant wishes to unlock additional perks.
In addition to the Dragon Balls Bandai Namco Entertainment have also teased that fighting opponents in a way that was never meant to happen, such as being Super Saiyan 3 Goku against Frieza, will trigger alternate dialogue sequences that may unlock additional perks once the threat has been defeated.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is in development for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and STEAM with an early 2020 release currently planned.
