Weathering With You To Receive UK Cinematic Release in January 2020

Advertisements posted around the ExCeL Centre within MCM London Comic Con have revealed that Makoto Shinkai’s latest cinematic film, Weathering With You, will be released in cinemas across the UK from 17th January 2020. This information was then later confirmed during the Anime Limited panel on Friday 25th October 2019.

Synopsis: The summer of his high school freshman year, Hodaka runs away from his remote island home to Tokyo, and quickly finds himself pushed to his financial and personal limits. The weather is unusually gloomy and rainy every day, as if to suggest his future. He lives his days in isolation, but finally finds work as a writer for a mysterious occult magazine. Then one day, Hodaka meets Hina on a busy street corner. This bright and strong-willed girl possesses a strange and wonderful ability: the power to stop the rain and clear the sky…

Additional details for the films screening locations and times will be confirmed at a later date and it is expected that a micro-site, similiar to Promare and other past films, will be made so that fans can pre-book tickets. Regardless Weathering With You will receive its UK Cinematic release from the 17th January 2020.
