Gajeel Redfox and Juvia Lockser Confirmed as Playable Characters in FAIRY TAIL

KOEI TECMO Europe, along with Japanese developers GUST, have announced that the upcoming FAIRY TAIL game will feature Gajeel Redfox and Juvia Lockser as playable characters while Mirajane will act as the guilds ‘quest master’ within the guild halls.

For those unfamiliar FAIRY TAIL, which is in development for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC, retells selective events of the manga by Hiro Mashima’s in traditional JRPG form. In this case the FAIRY TAIL game will begin during the events of the Tenrou Island arc and progress to include Grand Magic Games and the Tartaros arc. In addition side-stories and other elements found within the FAIRY TAIL manga and anime series will also be included to delivery a fully-enriched-experience that all FAIRY TAIL fans will enjoy.

So far Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray and Wendy have all been confirmed as playable characters and todays announcement confirms that Gajeel Redfox and Juvia Lockser will also be available as playable characters with characters being made available to join parties in quests and missions that help progress the story along. Additionally, as part of the games quest system, players will accept requests from the Quest Boards in the guild hall (just like in the anime and manga series) as well as talk to Mirajane in the hall upon completion of the quest; yet again just like the anime series.

FAIRY TAIL is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC, and is scheduled for a Winter 2020 release.
