Dragon Ball Z 30th Anniversary Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray Announced for UK Release

Manga Entertainment UK have announced that they will be releasing the ’30th Anniversary Edition’ of Dragon Ball Z on Blu-Ray within the UK later this year, with pre-orders now being accepted exclusively via the FUNimation website.

This 30th Anniversary Edition of Dragon Ball Z, of which was previously announced as a North American exclusive by FUNimation earlier this year, brings together all 291 uncut episodes of Dragon Ball Z in both English and Japanese (with English subtitles) and remastered in High Definition. In addition all 291 episodes of the TV series, of which is presented across 37 Blu-Ray discs, fans will find a hardback art book and a full-colour 11″ banpresto figure of Goku; all of which will be presented in a special collector’s edition box.

Unlike past ‘High Definition releases’ (with the exception of the previously released level sets) this set will have the series presented in 4:3 aspect ratio rather than the 16:9 widescreen ratio previously used, such as those in the DVD sets released by Manga Entertainment UK. This not only marks the first time the series has been released on Blu-Ray in the UK, but it also marks the first time the original aspect ratio format of the series has been released in the UK.

This Dragon Ball Z 30th Anniversary Edition Blu-Ray set will be limited to 750 units within the UK and is available to pre-order for £299.99 within the UK (as a comparison it is $349.99 in America) from the FUNimation website and is set for release on the 25th November 2019 within the UK.
