It has been a long-time-coming but LeSean Thomas’s creative vision of Cannon Busters, which was originally shown in the UK as part of an MCM London Comic Con Panel several years ago, is now available to stream on Netflix worldwide as part of its anime selection.
Produced by Manga Entertainment, Nada Holdings and Netflix, Cannon Busters is brought to life by Satelight Inc., the animation studios behind shows such as Macross Delta and Basquash!, as well as Created and Direct by LeSean Thomas, Cannon Busters and brings together scripts from talented animation writers including Natasha Allegri (creator of Bee & Puppycat) Anne Toole (Emmy nominated writer of “The Witcher” video game), Nilah Magruder (writer of the award winning M.F.K. web comic), to deliver an exceptional new take on anime that offers a Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop style of vibe. Regardless of the series origins all twelve episodes are now available to Stream on Netflix UK for valid subscribers.
Cannon Busters: Immortal renegade Philly the Kid and his transforming pink Cadillac join a relentlessly upbeat friendship droid on her quest to find a missing prince.
In addition to Cannon Busters being available on Netflix UK two of other Manga Entertainment UK related titles, Blue Exorcist and Gunslinger Girl, have also had their presentation changed on the anime catalogue.
In this case both titles were previously separated in individual seasons with Blue Exorcist being split as Blue Exorcist (Season 1) and Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga (Season 2) and Gunslinger Girl being split as Gunslinger Girl (Season 1) and Gunslinger Girls Ill Teatrino (Season 2). Now viewers will be able to find them under a single selection.
As per usual to watch any of these shows a valid Netflix UK subcription is required and newcomers can enjoy one month free as a trial period.
