Marvelous Europe Announces Six New Titles; Including Granblue Fantasy: Versus and Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes

Marvelous Europe have have announced that they will be the European publisher for a variety of upcoming titles with highlights including Granblue Fantasy: Versus and Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes.

In this case Marvelous Europe plan to release BurgerTime Party!, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, Heroland and Granblue Fantasy: Versus within Europe and Australia alongside Marvelous related IP’s Rune Factory 4 Special and Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Completed Edition. It was also mentioned that Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Completed Edition, which contains the base game and the two DLC packs in a single product, will be released on the 17th October 2019 for the PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.

In addition to these newly licensed titles Marvelous Europe also announced that Granblue Fantasy: Versus, a fighting game by Arc System Works based upon Cygames mobile-RPG game, will be playable at Gamescom 2019 between 20th and 24th August 2019.

Granblue Fantasy: Versus (PlayStation 4 – Arcade Fighter)

Legendary fighting game studio Arc System Works and Cygames are teaming up to bring the Granblue Fantasy universe to home consoles in an action-packed head-to-head fighter.

In Granblue Fantasy: Versus, power, skill, and spirit collide in a quest to find the true champion of the ring, with multiple characters from the Granblue Fantasy universe making an appearance.

 

Rune Factory 4 Special (Nintendo Switch – RPG Simulation)

Experience the world-famous fantasy farming adventure like never before, with gorgeous HD graphics in fully remastered form.

The joys of growing crops, catching fish, and raising monsters await players old and new, while seasoned explorers will be delighted to discover an updated opening movie. Other farm-fresh features include Newlywed mode, which introduces special episodes about living a married life and new in-game cutscenes.

Additionally, the game features an even higher difficulty mode for expert players to take on a challenge that’s truly worthy of their skills.

 

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC – Action/Simulation)

This enthralling title from Edelweiss, the two-man team behind acclaimed indie darling Astebreed (2014 in NA and EU), Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin combines side-scrolling action with deep crafting and farming simulation.

Players take on the role of Sakuna, a spoiled harvest goddess banished to a dangerous island with a group of outcast humans. As she explores the beautiful, forbidding environments of the island, she will also find a home in a mountain village, proving herself worthy of her title by harvesting rice and bettering the lives of humans.

In addition to being a fresh take on Japanese mythology and a love letter to action games, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is an ode to rice and an engrossing simulation of the craft behind agriculture.

 

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition (PlayStation 4, Windows PC – Action)

Travis Touchdown wanders into the game world and embarks on a rampage of epic proportions. Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition features previously released DLC and improved High Definition visuals for the PlayStation 4 and Windows PC (via Steam). Beam Katana in hand, slice and dice through a variety of game worlds, then square up to the boss at the end of each game!

Several years after No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, Travis is living his best life in a trailer in the American south, along with his pet cat Jeane. The open air, absolute freedom and plenty of video games…what more could an otaku assassin want? That is until Badman, the father of Travis’ past opponent Bad Girl, shows up to exact revenge for Travis’ role in her demise!

During the ensuing battle, things go horribly wrong and the two are sucked into the Death Drive Mk II – a legendary gaming console that plays games using mysterious objects known as Death Balls. It’s said that collecting all six Death Balls – and beating the games that they contain – will grant the successful player one wish…Now Travis and Badman must put aside their differences, team up and fight their way through several game worlds in a bid to gain that elusive wish, exterminating every last Bug as they go.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition will be released on the 17th October 2019 for the PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.

 

BurgerTime Party! (Nintendo Switch – Retro Action)

Chef Peter Pepper and the Food Foes return to serve up a fresh look and tons of new gameplay in this tasty re-imagining of DATA EAST’s 1982 arcade classic!

After firing up the grill for some action, new modes and items will have modern chefs thinking ‘outside of the bun’ to solve bite-sized puzzles like crumbling floors, oil spills, and freezing ladders, all the while evading edible enemies both old and new.

Local multiplayer lets 2-4 friends cooperate as cooks or compete as cuisine across 100+ stages that will keep the fun from getting stale long past Mr. Hot Dog’s expiration date. Now, let’s get cooking!

 

Heroland (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 – RPG)

Put on your nostalgia goggles for this single-player RPG about a theme park where guests can explore dungeons, beat up baddies, and become legendary heroes—while the player assists from the sidelines as a tour guide!

Released in Japan as WORK x WORK, this tale of princes and pixels is told by over 20 quirky characters, including overzealous knights, an irascible otter, and… *checks notes* man-eating broccoli? When the Dark Lord’s monsters are also your coworkers, it’s hard to draw the line between work and play!

Directed by Takahiro Yamane (Fantasy Life), written by Nobuyuki Inoue (Legend of Mana), set in a colorful 2D world created by Nobuhiro Imagawa (MOTHER 3, Legend of Mana), and jam-packed with Tsukasa Masuko’s (Shin Megami Tensei) whimsical tunes, this adventure is one that cannot be forgotten!

Marvelous Europe also expressed that additional release information for each of these titles will be revealed at a later date. It’a also worth noting that XSEED Games will be publishing these same games within North America.
