Anime Limited Unveil’s Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack & Gundam Wing Blu-Ray Packaging

At MCM London Comic Con last month Anime Limited confirmed release plans for Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack, which is a feature-length-film focusing on Char and Amuro that takes place towards the end of Universal Century timeline of Mobile Suit Gundam, as well as details for Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. Today the distributor have unveiled the box artwork and more through a new Gundam Special blog post.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack

Firstly Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack will receive a Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray release similiar to that of past Mobile Suit Gundam releases. In this case the Blu-Ray disc, of which will contain the film in both English & Japanese (with English subtitles), in a standard amaray case with a reversible sleeve that slots into a rigid artbox. Inside the artbox, and alongside the Blu-Ray case, Gundam fans will find 5 Art-Cards and a Poster; of which are illustrated below.

This Collector’s Edition release of Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack will have an RRP of £34.99; but for a limited time it will be available for £19.99 on the Anime Limited Store.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing:

As announced at MCM London Comic Con last month Anime Limited will release Mobile Suit Gundam Wing as two part installments, with the film also reciving its own separate release, in addition an Deluxe Collector’s Edition release that contains everything. Details on the Deluxe Collector’s Edition have yet to be confirmed but details of Gundam Wing – Part 1 (Collector’s Edition) have been confirmed.

The first part of Gundam Wing will contain Episodes 1 – 25 in English and Japanese (with English subtitles) and is planned for release in September. The second part of Gundam Wing will contain the remaining epiodes of the series (26 – 50) in the same language options for a Q4 2019 Release.

The Endless Waltz movie meanwhile, which will be presented in Movie format and OVA format in both English and Japanese, will be released at a TBC late 2019 / early 2020 date. This Endless Waltz collection will also contain the Operation Meteor episodes which recap the events of the TV Series from the perspective of a Gundam pilot. These paritcular episodes have not been dubbed in English and as such will only be presented in Japanese with English Subtitles.

Standard Mobile Suit Gundam Blu-Ray releases:

Past Gundam releases, such as Mobile Suit Gundam Movie Trilogy, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Mobile Suit ZZ Gundam, will be re-released as standard Blu-Ray releases later this year with pre-order soon to start appearing at online retailers.
