Root Letter: Last Answer Western Release Date and Day One Edition Announced

PQube Games have today announced that enhanced version of the visual novel Root Letter, known as Root Letter: Last Answer, will be released on the 30th August 2019 (within Europe) and 3rd September (within North America) for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. In addition to the release date a special ‘Day One’ editions was also announced for both western regions.
This ‘enhanced version’ of the original game will allow visual novel fans to experience the gripping investigation story with a brand new epilogue as well as gameplay improvements. That’s not all as the players will be able to experience the game in its original hand-drawn animation style or in it’s brand new live-action sequence.
Synopsis:
15 years have passed since your correspondence with your pen friend Aya Fumino. While you moved on with your life, a confession of murder left in her last letter now resurfaces. Travel to Aya’s hometown and discover what happened to her. Her friends may know the truth but none of them seem willing to let you delve into the past. Are they responsible for her disappearance?

As mentioned a ‘Day One Edition’ of Root Letter: Last Answer will also be made available at selective retailer within Europe and North America.
Just like the original Limited Edition PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita release of Root Letter this ‘Day One’ Edition of Root Letter: Last Answer will contain a 100-page artbook featuring various artwork, such as character designs, background environments and scequences from the game.
Root Letter: Last Answer is scheduled to be released on the 30th August 2019 (within Europe) and 3rd September 2019 (within North America) for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4; with PQube Games handling both European and North American publishing duties.
