Manga UK Confirms June & July Release Schedule with My Hero Academia – Season 1 & Hellsing Ultimate Collection

It is that time of the year where anime publishers and distributors begin to announce their third quarter release line-up and while MVM Entertainment opted to announce the schedule in one go, and Anime Limited opting to drip-feed information, Manga Entertainment UK have done the former in one release line-up announcement on their website.

As part of this release schedule round-up Manga Entertainment UK confirmed that they would be re-releasing the first season of My Hero Academia, a series which was previously released by Universal Pictures via FUNimation but has long since gone out of print, as well as the ‘complete’ Hellsing Ultimate OVA Collection. Previously Manga Entertainment UK had released a large portion of Hellsing Ultimate before licensing arrangements changed; but now (several years later) Manga Entertainment UK are able to release it.

In addition we have release dates for Black Clover, DARLING in the FRANXX as well as a standard Blu-Ray release of OVERLORD II; a series which previously was only available as a Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray and DVD Combo Pack and exclusive to Zavvi.

The release schedule for June and July is as follows:

FULL RELEASE SLATE

13th May 2019:

27th May 2019:

3rd June 2019:

1st July 2019:

15th July 2019:

22nd July 2019:

As per usual these release dates should be treated as ‘placeholder’ dates and could be subject to change (especially for those being released in June onwards) but it gives us a good indication of when we can expect these releases.

Sadly these release schedule line-up does not provide any new surprising title licenses; but at least it confirms that My Hero Academia – Season 1, which has been extremely difficult to find new, will be getting its much deserved re-release on both separate DVD and Blu-Ray sets.
