Anime Limited Reveals Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms Release Details

It has been a home video release long-time-coming but Anime Limited have finally confirmed release details for Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms which will be released as a Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray and DVD Combo Pack as well as standard Blu-Ray and DVD editions on the 27th May 2019.

The Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray and DVD Combo Pack release will feature the film, of which features DTS-HD Master Audio in both English and Japanese, presented in Anime Limited’s traditional digi-pack style that slides into a rigid artbox alongside an A3 poster and an 84-page booklet. The booklet itself will contain a variety of information from the film such as:

  • Character information
  • Comments from Japanese cast
  • Interview with original Character Designer, Akihiko Yoshida
  • Interview with Character Design/Chief Animation Director, Yuriko Ishii
  • Interview with Tomoaki Okada (Art Setting) & Kazuo Higashii (Art Director)
  • Interview with Kazuhiro Wakabayashi (Sound Director) & Kenji Kawai (Music)
  • Interview with Writer/Director, Mari Okada and Producer, Kenji Horikawa

The Standard Blu-Ray and DVD editions meanwhile will simply have the film (in both English and Japanese audio) presented in a standard DVD and Blu-Ray case.

Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms will be available on Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray and DVD Combo Pack, Standard Blu-Ray and Standard DVD on the 27th May 2019 within the UK.
