Anime Limited Licenses Kokkoku for Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray Release

Anime Limited have announced that they will be releasing Geno Studio’s anime adaptation of Seita Horio’s manga series, Kokkoku, as a Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray release later this year; with a tentative Q3 2019 release window being announced.

Originally streamed on Amazon Prime (via Amazon Instant Video) Kokkoku features twelve episodes and focuses on the ability of being able to stop time and the repercussions it can bring for those who use it. It’s an interesting series and it’s worth checking out if you have Amazon Prime.

Synopsis: Juri Yukawa needs a timeout from her life. She’s failed 19 job interviews, she’s stuck living with her crazy family, and her chances of escaping to a life of her own are becoming increasingly remote. Suddenly, all of that becomes unimportant when her brother and nephew are kidnapped and held for an impossibly high ransom. That’s when Juri’s grandfather reveals an incredible secret: a mystical stone that allows Juri, her father and her Grandpa to enter the state of Stasis, where everyone else in the world is frozen in time! That should make rescuing their family easy, right? Wrong, because there’s a sinister organization working against them who also can literally beat the clock!

As per usual Anime Limited’s Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray release will see this twelve episode series across two discs and come packaged in a rigid box (as per the norm). Anime Limited have not exactly demonstrated the contents of this Collector’s Edition; but five art cards and a poster will be included inside the box.

Kokkoku has been announced for a Q3 2019 release with further release details to be confirmed at a later date; but in the meantime the English Dub trailer can be found below.
