Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card to be Blu-Ray Only Release

Earlier in the year Manga Entertainment UK announced that they had licensed Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, which is of course CLAMP’s anime continuation of the ever popular Cardcaptor Sakura anime series from 1998, for UK distribution and that it would be released as a Blu-Ray and DVD Combo Pack similar to FUNimation’s release in North America.

Well today Manga Entertainment UK have clarified that it will now be a ‘Blu-Ray only’ release and not a Blu-Ray & DVD Combo Pack (or Double Play) as previously announced.

Naturally this isn’t a bad thing, as we will still receive the series in High Definition and at its best presentable quality, but it does mean that those hoping for a DVD release will miss out.

Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card – Part 1 is currently scheduled for a 11th February 2019 release and is available to pre-order from various UK retailers.
