Anime Limited Unveil’s Escaflowne Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray Release

Anime Limited once again pulls off the surprise reveals as part of its ’12 Days of Christmas’ promotion as the UK Anime Distributor have today revealed that a ‘Collector’s Edition’ variation of Escaflowne will be released; with pre-orders now being accepted at a special discount during this one day only event on the Anime Limited Store.

This Collector’s Edition of Escaflowne will feature the TV Series and Film, each of which will be presented in their own Amaray Blu-Ray case, packaged inside a rigid art box featuring the same artwork of that of the previously released Ultimate Edition of Escaflowne. This Collector’s Edition set will also contain a 32-page booklet featuring artwork and information about the series.

Anime Limited have previously released Escaflowne as an ‘Ultimate Edition’ release which contained both the TV Series and Film on Blu-Ray alongside a the complete TV Series soundtrack and an art book. This Ultimate Edition release was met with criticism due to one of the discs having issues; of which Ultimate Edition fans had to wait until Standard Edition releases were made available. It’s been a long time (about two years) since then and now  remaining Escaflowne fans have the option of picking up this Collector’s Edition release which offers a similar experience at a fraction of the cost.

Regardless; it is a nice looking set and will be released on the 17th December 2018 with pre-orders available exclusively from the Anime Limited Store.
