Anime Limited Licenses Gakuen Basara: Samurai High School for UK Release

03Anime Limited have announced that they have acquired the UK distribution rights to Gakuen Basara: Samurai High School, a Sengoku Basara spin-off taking place within a high school, with a home video release planned for the future.

As announced on the official Anime Limited blog they have Licensed Gakuen Basara: Samurai High School for UK Release with distribution beginning on crunchyroll with all past episodes now available to stream in the UK with future episodes being available to simulcast. In terms of a ‘home video’ release then Anime Limited will release the series on Blu-Ray in some form in the future. Naturally as this is a ‘currently streaming’ series it will be a while before we see some news.

Synopsis: Based on the popular video game franchise, Segoku Basara, that has also had anime series too, this is a high school spin off that sure to get your blood pumping.

A heated battle is once again revving up at Basara Academy between baseball star, Masamune Date, and soccer ace, Yukimura Sanada. What’s more, ever since student council chairman, Hideyoshi Toyotomi, received a suspension, leaving the seat up for grabs, a host of class “warlords” have become embroiled in a quest for supreme power. Amid Ieyasu Tokugawa’s appeals to bonds of kinship and Mitsunari Ishida’s fervor to defeat him, who will wrest ultimate control of the domain in “troubled” times?

Gakuen Basara: Samurai High School is currently available to Stream on crunchyroll with new episodes released on a weekly basis; but a Blu-Ray release will be made available via Anime Limited in the future.
