Anime Limited once again entertained fans, albeit not exactly to script, by hosting a selection of panels throughout the MCM London Comic Con October 2018 weekend; some of which were to highlight recent title announcements while others were to celebrate Hibiki Yoshizaki’s work in the form of panel and signing sessions. Regardless; today we are here to talk about the new titles that were announced during the course of the weekend.
Friday 26th October 2018:
The Panel on Friday was reserved for glancing over titles shown (and potentially announced) at Scotland Loves Anime earlier in the month as well as clarifying that they would be releasing selective FUNimation titles (as we previously reported on).
Panel:
Announcement Summary:
Anime Limited:
- Calamity of a Zombie Girl
- Cyber City Odeo 808
- Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade
- Sword Art Online: Alicization (i.e. Sword Art Online – Season 3)
FUNimation (via Anime Limited):
- Chaos Dragon
- Dagashi Kashi
- Divine Gate
- Haruchika
- Shomin Sample
Sunday 28th October 2018:
This particular panel meanwhile, of which was comically delayed due to Andy being locked in a room somewhere within the ExCeL Center and saw Jermey on stage trying to buy time for Andy to arrive, was reserved for new title announcements that (as mentioned) were completely new. Surprising new additions to Anime Limited catalogue include titles such as Gun Gale Alternative: Sword Art Online, Megalo Box and Magic Knight Rayearth but the most surprising of all was Bartender which has never received a release outside of Japan.
Panel:
Announcement Summary:
- Bartender
- Magic Knight Rayearth
- Persona 5: The Animation
- Persona 5: Daybreakers
- Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online
- Welcome to the Ballroom
Anime Limited have announced that they plan to release these within 2019; however as with all Anime Limited titles we should probably not expect them until 2020 or towards the end of 2019. Regardless Anime Limited are bringing some variety and we can expect to hear more in the coming months.
